Updated November 2026
Thornhill Park is on the western growth front between Cobblebank and Rockbank. At the 2021 Census it had about 3,100 residents, a median age of 29, and 98 per cent of occupied homes were separate houses. The area keeps growing, including the new estates at Deanside and Plumpton nearby, so a lot of yards here are bare.
Melton Landscaping does not do landscaping. Your request goes to a local landscaper who works Thornhill Park.
Landscaping jobs in Thornhill Park
- First turf and lawns and garden beds and planting
- Alfresco paving and outdoor areas
- Low retaining walls on cut lots
- Irrigation and drainage
Before you book
Check whether your development has a Housing Design Guideline endorsed under the planning scheme, and whether it covers front gardens or fences. Ask the landscaper to set levels so water runs away from the house, because the basalt clays of Melbourne's west shrink and swell as they dry and wet.
Registration and permits
Planting, turf and garden maintenance are not registered work in Victoria. Walls, paving, decks and other structural work under a domestic building contract worth more than $10,000 must be carried out by a practitioner registered with the Building and Plumbing Commission, so ask who is registered and whether anything needs a building permit.
