Strathtulloh is one of the newer suburbs on the western growth front, next to Cobblebank and Weir Views. About 4,000 people lived there at the 2021 Census, with a median age of 29, and 97 per cent of occupied homes were separate houses. Estates are still being completed, so most enquiries are for a first yard.

- Garden beds and planting and front gardens
- Alfresco paving and outdoor areas and side paths
- Retaining walls along cut boundaries
Before you book
Check your Housing Design Guideline, if your development has one, for anything about front gardens or fences. Where a lot has been cut and filled, a low wall along the boundary may be needed. A wall on or near a boundary can trigger protection work requirements, so talk to your neighbour early.
Registration and permits
Planting, turf and garden maintenance are not registered work in Victoria. Walls, paving, decks and other structural work under a domestic building contract worth more than $10,000 must be carried out by a practitioner registered with the Building and Plumbing Commission, so ask who is registered and whether anything needs a building permit.
